Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, configure, optimize, document, and deploy database objects and data processing packages needed to Extract, Transform, and Load the layers of the data warehouse.

  • Develop and maintain mapping logic to ETL data sets from a variety of source systems.

  • Plan and coordinate Business Intelligence reporting using Power BI.

  • Support, maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution for data warehouse, reporting and database processes.

  • Work various teams to understand, document, and design database, ETL processes and reporting.

  • Contributes to quality assurance tasks and bug fixes.

  • Develop customer facing reporting, dashboards, SSRS reports, data visualizations, and analytics.

  • Coordinate with the Predictive Analytics team to prepare and preprocess data.

  • Provide knowledge, guidance, research, business process mapping and fact-finding expertise to define, design, and modify specifications and processes for complex information systems and business process.

  • Participates in establishing system documentation standards and QA methodologies.

  • Defines data standards and governance for the entire organization (including managing data catalogs).

  • Core technologies used in this position include: Azure (Data Bricks, Data Lake Storage 2.0, SQL Data Warehouse, Data Factory 2.0, Portal, Machine Learning), T-SQL and MDX queries, Power BI and M, SQL Stored Procedures, Synapse Analytics, Cloud based data warehouses, Master Data Management.


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science preferred.

  • MS Azure Data Warehouse certifications (Data Solution, Data Engineering).

  • 5+ or more years of experience developing and maintaining cloud-based database and warehouse solutions; including performance optimizations and ETL processes (with focus on Azure).

  • 5+ years working on Business Analytics and Reporting using Power BI, SSRS and Tableau.

  • 5+ years of data governance (including Master Data Management, Data Architecture and data catalog).

  • Experience with monitoring, tuning, optimizing, profiling data warehouse and business intelligence environments.

  • Strong knowledge of data science and Azure based machine learning.

  • Working knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) based technologies including Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing (NLP).

  • DBA skills related to data warehouse / business intelligence systems such as index design, aggregate design, partitioning, etc.

  • Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle.

  • Experience unit testing and validating data sets against tie out data sets and business requirements.

  • Experience in Commercial Real Estate domain and knowledge of ERP applications (i.e., Yardi), is a strong plus.
